Automate your rabbit feeder and waterer (colony style)

TOOLS AND TECH

How do you reduce your work load for your outdoor rabbits? Check out my <1 min video on my rabbit set up

My set up was temporary for only one rabbit, so I know that will change with scale, but please share your tips and let me know how many rabbits that set up is good for. I am for 3 to 7 days before I need to do something (even though I usually check on everything 1-2x/day).
I took this video before moving my rabbits (I have two now and likely going to add a third) to a larger shed with a larger run (this was just a temporary set up) but I have a similar feeding set up. I found a different brand of food (the pellets aren't as long) did better in the gravity feeder.
I also switched from the chewed up bag feeder for hay to a wire magazine rack I zip tied off the floor, so they can't chew the feeder. Eventually I'll take a video of their current set up.
Note: I've been advised that you have to feed them twice daily or they will get fat but have not found that to be the case. If you currently ration feed please consult someone with more rabbit knowledge than I for transitioning to free feeding (or "freeding" as I first accidentally typed), as they have a delicate digestive system. Also, there is a lot of information out there for colony style if you're interested in that. I have fixed rabbits I took in from people who couldn't keep their rabbits, and they bonded fairly easily, so my situation is going to be different than yours.
This post is focusing on automation of chores to free up your day for other projects (and to spend time with your rabbits without just doing chores, of course!).
