Maternity Leave: Embracing Life with a Newborn and Three Kids

My last post was October?!
First off, I want to offer a huge apology for my absence. The last month of my pregnancy especially was as uncomfortable as might be expected, plus a new wave of fatigue, made daily life a challenge.
From Fruit Trees to Duck Runs
In those final weeks, I was determined to check things off my list. I managed to put in an orchard of fruit trees (delegating the 15 gallon pots to hired help!) and bushes and even built a hardware footing around my entire duck run (for some reason after all that squatting baby came soon after).
Embracing the New Normal: Life with Four Kids
Now that I have a newborn, life has transformed once again. Yes, I can reach the ground a whole lot better , but now I have the added challenge of juggling four young kids, with homeschooling and other activities barreling on, and homestead chores continuing. Not to mention thanksgiving and family in town!
So for this blog, I need to take maternity leave, taking each day as it comes. Some days (or hours) are tougher than others, but I wouldn’t trade this experience for the world. I will post again at the beginning of February, so stay tuned! I don't even want to calculate how many diapers that is until then... Thanks for understanding and bearing with me!
